The client had seen a character led safety video and wanted to do something similar for their ship safety video. I wanted to move away from the typical 'cartoon' character illustrations and design characters that were contemporary and stylized. The La Datcha yacht is also a superyacht that's priced in the millions so the designs had to look slick and not tacky.

The client liked the idea of a comic strip and having different frames showing each safety step, similar to a planes safety card. These designs were to show the initial concept and vision, unfortunatley the client decided to keep their original safety video.
