National Geographic: Documentary Case Study
Client:
Mattmograph
Role Played:
Art Director
I was fortunate to work on National Geographic's new documentary series called 'WWII Skies from above' which manifested into a 6 month project. I worked on 90+ animated scenes which mainly used projection mapping techniques in C4D to create depth and cinematic appeal to old WWII archive images.
I'm in the process of creating a case study reel to show some of my favourite scenes and show some behind the scenes workings. I want to package the case study in it's own distinct style so I designed some frames which took inspiration from old WWII war room maps. I will use this 3D environment to move around and transition in and out of scenes related to the documentary project.
