Softomotive: WinAutomation

The challenge was to communicate the benefits of robotic process automation through a character-led explainer that made sophisticated software feel approachable and easy to understand.

Created for Softomotive, a global provider of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, this promotional animation introduced WinAutomation, demonstrating how repetitive manual tasks could be automated to improve productivity and efficiency. The objective was to create a distinctive visual identity that reflected the simplicity and intelligence of the software while engaging a business audience.

Leading the creative from concept to completion, I developed the overall visual style, produced the styleframes and storyboard, and animated the final film. The animation embraced a minimalist line art aesthetic, supported by a carefully paired-back colour palette that kept the focus on the narrative while creating a clean, contemporary look. Character animation played a central role throughout the film, helping to humanise technical concepts and guide viewers through the software's capabilities in an approachable and engaging way.

Alongside the animation, I curated the music and sound design to complement the pacing and personality of the visuals, ensuring every element worked together to create a cohesive viewing experience.

The result was a refined character-led explainer that combined art direction, storytelling and motion design to communicate a complex software platform with clarity, personality and a memorable visual identity.
