Henkel: Albert AI Lab Companion

The challenge was to introduce a new AI-powered laboratory assistant through an engaging explainer animation that communicated complex features with clarity, personality and confidence.

Created for Henkel, this explainer introduced Albert, an AI-powered lab companion designed to support laboratory teams by streamlining workflows and providing intelligent assistance. The objective was to transform technical product information into a clear, engaging narrative that demonstrated the software's key features and benefits while making the technology feel intuitive and approachable.

Working from supplied illustrations, I animated the entire film, bringing the characters and interface to life through expressive motion and carefully considered pacing. Character rigs were built using Joysticks 'n Sliders, allowing for fluid, natural movement, while 3D camera techniques created seamless transitions that carried viewers through each stage of the story. Every animation was designed to reinforce the narrative, ensuring information was introduced clearly without compromising the energy or visual appeal of the film.

Beyond the animation itself, I focused on creating a polished viewing experience by balancing character performance, motion graphics and visual hierarchy to keep the audience engaged from start to finish.

The result was a dynamic explainer video that combined character animation, technical motion design and cinematic transitions to communicate an innovative AI product in a way that felt accessible, engaging and memorable.
