ATEME: Video Delivery Solutions

The challenge was to simplify a highly technical video delivery platform into a clear, engaging visual story.

Created for ATEME, a global provider of video compression and delivery solutions, this motion design and explainer video introduced how the company's technology helps broadcasters, streaming platforms and service providers efficiently deliver high-quality video content across multiple devices. Working across concept development, styleframes, storyboards and final animation, I developed a visual language that transformed complex technical workflows into an intuitive and engaging viewing experience.

A system of multi-coloured circles became the foundation of the animation, representing video files as they moved through the delivery pipeline before reaching different screens and platforms. This simple visual metaphor communicated the scale and flexibility of the technology while giving the film a distinctive and consistent motion language.

Using motion graphics, typography and animation, the film balanced technical accuracy with clear communication. Every transition and graphic was designed to reinforce the flow of content, helping viewers understand how ATEME's technology optimises video delivery while increasing viewer engagement and subscription growth.

Produced while working at my agency, the animation was recognised with a Platinum Hermes Creative Award in 2022 in recognition of its creative execution and communication. The result was an award-winning explainer video that combined motion design, visual storytelling and information design to communicate a sophisticated technology platform in a way that felt intuitive, dynamic and easy to understand.
